Interview with Cecilia Carnefeldt, CEO Kunskapsskolan Sweden
In an inspiring conversation with Cecilia Carnefeldt, she told me about some great initiatives and developments within Kunskapsskolan:
Last year, Kunskapsskolan started developing a one-year programme which focuses on getting highly educated refugees who have gruduated as engineers in their home country ready for entering the Swedish labour market.
Kunskapsskolan started an international project together with students from Finance and Economics programmes. The goal of the project is to build an enterprise which operates internationally through online communication. The students are free in how to set up and organize the enterprise and the communication around it. The students do not use e-mail, but they send eachother spoken messages and videos to communicate about the project.
One of the key success factors of Kunskapsskolan is the involvement of the parents in the progress of their kids. In India, the whole family wants to be involved; the parents, aunts, grandmother and the grandfather as well. A nice cultural difference!
The Technical Programme within Kunskapsskolan started a collaboration with NCC, a big technical company which wants to get students exited about their company and the market they operate in.
